Football Association of Malaysia is the Governing Body for football in Malaysia and have to provide Malaysia with the opportunity to play football from youth levels to elite competition, including FIFA and AFC tournaments as well as Olympic Games.
The Head of Women’s Football is responsible for developing, implementing and nurturing all FAM programs related to Women’s Football as well as the co-ordination of all its activities within or outside FAM.
In assuming a technical leadership role, he/she will provide guidance in all programs and fosters good sportsmanship, and he/she will establish excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including coaches and staff of all programs, most particularly with representatives of State FAs, clubs, communities, private academies and government projects.
Requirements:
Highest possible coaching certificate highly desirable (ideally AFC or UEFA Pro Coaching
Licence or AFC A Licence).
Instructors Licence AFC, FIFA or similar.
Experience in coaching and managing women’s football.
Experience as player.
Previous experience of working for a national football association.
Consultative style and thoughtful decision maker, with good mediation skills to balance
tensions that may occur between clubs, coaches and teaching staff.
Proven track record in the development and implementation of elite/excellence
performance coaching systems.
Understanding of best practice in the identification and development of coaches and
coaching talents.
Ability to communicate and present effectively, both verbally and in writing, with the
ability to relate and influence a diverse range of people at different levels and ages.
Proven leadership, people management and team building skills in order to build a strong,
robust team of coaches.
Demonstrable problem solving and decision-making skills with the ability to work under
pressure and balance conflicting demands and deadlines.
Demonstrable ability/experience of having developed and implemented a footballing
methodology.
Excellent communication, organization and negotiation skills, with approachable
personality, able to represent the Technical Division internally and externally .
Planning and time management skills and able to prioritize works.
Computer skills, proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point etc.).
